Public Opinion Survey Results Launch

A Climate of Change -- Hong Kong People’s Attitudes towards Climate Change 2010

Civic Exchange will host a press conference on Wednesday, 27 October 2010 to release the results of a public opinion survey on climate change. 思匯政策研究所將於2010年10月27日(星期三)舉行記者會，公佈一項關於氣候變化民調的結果。

Commissioned by Civic Exchange, the public opinion survey was conducted by the Hong Kong Transition Project at Hong Kong Baptist University. At the press conference, seven major survey findings will be released, such as how much they know about climate change, how much concern they have about impacts of climate change, what policy options they support with regard to addressing climate change, and how dangerous or threatening they see climate change . 思匯政策研究所委託香港過渡期研究計劃進行是次民調。在記者會上，思匯政策研究所將會公佈七項主要研究結果，包括受訪者對氣候變化的認知、他們對氣候變化所帶來的影響有多關注、他們支持哪些應對氣候變化的措施，以及他們認為氣候變化有多危險等等。

With Government consultation on climate change strategy still underway and legislators beginning to debate the 2010-2011 Policy Address, the survey results will inform the HKSAR Government and politicians on the latest views of people’s attitudes towards climate change in town, and what actions to take. 特區政府正值就應對氣候變化策略進行諮詢，而立法會議員即將就2010-2011年度的施政報告辯論，是次民調的結果實有助政府和從政者知道市民大眾對氣候變化的最新看法，從而採取恰當的行動。

Christine Loh, CEO of Civic Exchange and Professor Michael DeGolyer, Director of Hong Kong Transition Project will be present at the press conference to present survey findings and answer questions. 思匯政策研究所行政總監陸恭蕙及香港過渡期研究計劃主任戴高禮博士將出席記者會，公佈民調結果及回答記者提問。
